Light is one of the first materials we work with.
Before a room has furniture or finishes, it has an orientation. The position of an opening changes how a space feels across a day, from the gentleness of morning light to the warmth of the late afternoon.
A courtyard can bring daylight deep into a plan. A shaded verandah can soften the transition between inside and outside. These simple spatial decisions become the foundation of the design.
This sample journal entry illustrates the kind of studio thinking that can be shared here. It will be replaced with LAD HUB’s own writing and project observations.
